Project Excel
This is the organization’s “flagship” project. This program focuses on mentoring African-American males beginning in middle-school. Mentees are required to enroll in this program and to commit to remaining in the program for at least one year. Parents are also required to ensure that their sons are present for at least 80% of program activities. After completion of a three year commitment to the middle and high school programs, mentees are eligible for a Village Legacy Scholarship upon graduation from high school. The Village Legacy Scholarship award is $1,000.00 per year for four years.
